Close to the cabins a huge waterfall fills a big natural ambarine pool, perfect for swimming. After taking a bath, just rest under the sun, surrounded by a lush vegetation, full of ferns, orchids, and tall tropical trees.
The Uruguay river falls on itself in a linear cataract three kilometers long. The force of the red waters makes a perfect contrast with the unleashed verdor of one of the last unspoiled jungles of the world. The Saltos del Moconá are not always visible, depending of the amount of rain that falls in the area.
Visiting the ab-original guaraní tribe is a must. We also strongly recommend trekking the jungle close to the lodge, birdwathching, and the posibility of an encounter with wild animals.
La Bonita is located in front of the Yabotí Biosphere Reservation, 250.000 has of Paranaense Jungle, distributed between hills full of native trees (Angico, guatambú, laurel, guayuvira, etc), and exotic birds (surucuá, yacutinga, macuco, eagles, tucans, parrots), and mammals as the tapir, deers, monkeys, coatí, pumas, and jaguars.
